I teach efficient human movements.   I teach applied physics, biomechanics, and kinesiology.

In the 2013, I joined an online softball community and started rapidly publishing many of my thoughts regarding internal rotation, drive mechanics, timing, and the general biomechanics of softball pitching; posting under the  moniker 'javasource'.  This was the beginning of the "I/R revolution".  To be clear... every throw made in any sport uses "I/R"... as it is impossible to make any throwing motion (athletically speaking) without it.

My instruction is constantly evolving.  Methods I may have been at the ground floor of are also some of the methods I have long since abandoned.  Each student will see an annual improvement process in me - just as it is expected of them.

Lesson pricing is information relative only to those taking lessons from me.  It's pretty basic, but covers my cost of:

  1. Transportation costs (I drive 2-3 hours each day I have lessons @ $0.655/mile)
  2. Facility Fees (I pay to give lessons in each facility)
  3. Educational value.
  4. 90 minutes of time.

A mutual contract that all students must sign.

A lesson in life, often forgotten.

A promise between coach, parent, and student-athlete.

A communication of expectations.

An investment agreement.

I have worked with hundreds of pitchers over the years.  The work we do together is individual, private, and built on trust.

The successes they find are a result of their efforts and family commitments.

I do not believe in leveraging their accomplishments for personal promotion or gain.

All work published featuring these athletes is provided to them as a celebration of their accomplishments and an attempt to assist them in finding the school of their dreams.

My year is broken into 4 pieces:

Phase 1) New Student Acquisition: August- Beginning of September

Phase 2) Training/Lesson Period : September - April

Phase 3) HS & Travel Seasons: April - Beginning of August

Phase 4) Self-Review/Improvement: July-August

I accept new students during Phase 1 only.  During Phase 2, all students are locked into a recurring lesson schedule for the year.  In April, school ball starts (Phase Three), and I use this time to visit & monitor games to watch the implementation of acquired skills.  During Phase 4, I meet with returning college students and start my personal review process.
